Dr Minna Torppa is a researcher in the Faculty of Education and Psychology at the University of Jyväskylä. Her research focuses on reading, spelling, and maths development, learning disabilities, and the relationship between learning, motivation, and wellbeing. She investigates the roles of intergenerational factors and home, daycare, and school environments in shaping children’s reading and maths skills, motivation, and learning-related emotions.
