LEADERSHIP

Nathan Caruana

Associate Professor Nathan Caruana leads the HAVIC Lab at Flinders University, for Human, Artificial and Virtual Innteractive Cognition. They study how people understand and interact with others - both human and artificial. They hope to deliver knowledge and innovation that supports the wellbeing of all neurodiverse people. Their current work specifically explores how design, expectations, and context shape trust, collaboration, learning and cognitive performance in both educational and manufacturing/industrial settings. This is supported by over 15 years of experience conducting research on the cognitive and psychological basis of reading, social interactions and mental wellbeing.
